Forever Polished Mani Bombs.

I've been seeing Forever Polished brand popping up everywhere lately. In Facebook groups, in photos on Instagram, blog reviews. Her mani bombs are super popular and in high demand lately. I was lucky enough to grab a few to try in her last restock.

I'm a sucker for floral scents, so I ordered the Coconut Lavender Love Spell Mani Crumbles, Rose Bud Crumbles, Rose Garden Mani Bomb, and a Mystery Bomb. (The mystery bomb I received smells like vanilla bean). I also received a sample mani bomb in Bora Bora scent.

Happy Holidays, with Zoya Nail Polish!

✯ PR Sample's Mentioned ✯

I used Zoya Posh, Veruschka Matte Velvet (press sample), and Zoya, Chyna, Tomoko, Chita Pixie Dusts, along with some striping tape for these holiday nails. No topcoat.

I had a nice little surprise the other day, some holiday wishes and Godiva chocolates from Zoya.com! I pretty much had to pick my jaw off the floor after opening the package, lol.

Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!!!

Polar Bears, and Penguins... Oh My!

✯ PR Sample's Mentioned ✯

If you know me, I don't normally do free hand nail art, I usually stamp. But since I got a new brush set, I thought I would attempt some free hand. I have been seeing these cute holiday polar bears, and penguins on Facebook and Instagram a lot lately- so I decided to try my hand at them too. (There are quite a few tutorials online, or on youtube).

I started with a base of Nubar Rockin' The Garden. (Very sheer polish... opaque in 3-4 coats.) For the white I used OPI Alpine Snow. The black is Zoya Willa, the orange is Zoya Cole. I also fairy dusted the "snow", to add a more festive touch. I also used Seche Vite topcoat.

For the nail art, I used my brush set, and dotting tool that I purchased myself awhile ago from the Born Pretty Store. For the stamped snowflakes, I used stamp plate QA19 that the Born Pretty Store sent me for review.

It kind of looks like Mr. Polar Bear is checking out the Penguin there, huh?
And that Penguin sure looks like he's up to something! :-p

RIP Remy: 11/2012 - 12/2014

Sunday evening Remy passed away. He passed away sometime when we were sleeping. That afternoon he had been fine, eating Gerber puffs, drinking Ensure.

Remy was around 2 years, and 2 months old. He had lost the use of his hind legs in November, so we were keeping him in a one level cage so he could scoot around. We brought Remy home December of 2012. (Rats only live 2-3 years).

Simple Holiday Stamping.

I have been slacking on Holiday nails this year. I've just been feeling a bit "blah" this holiday season. I didn't even put out my Christmas decorations until December 22nd!

Anyhow, to get in the holiday mood, I decided to start off with some simple stamping. I painted my nails with Chaos & Crocodiles: Security Breach, Night Vision, and Orly Mirrorball on my ring finger. Then I used MDU Avocado, Maybelline Metallics Bold Gold, and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Redio Active to stamp with. The stamping plates I used are: Winstonia Store W222, and W120.

Oh yeah! I recently picked up some Mundo de Unas stamping polishes. They come from Mexico so it took exactly one month before I received them. I decided to order the minis, since I didn't want any of them to break during shipping. People have complained they have a strong odor, but I didn't find them any stronger than say, Seche Vite or Klean Color nail polish. If you're sensitive to strong scents though, then these probably aren't for you. But... boy do they ever stamp amazing! Now I understand why so many people who stamp, rave about MDU.

My holiday decorations.

I do have at least two more ideas for holiday nails, so hopefully I will get them on the blog sometime this week! I hope everyone has a nice holiday!

Painted Sabotage: Amnesia, & Shall We Go?

✯ PR Sample ✯

I have two holographic polishes from Painted Sabotage for you today. A gorgeous pink named Amnesia, and a dark purple named Shall We Go

Shall We Go is a dark purple linear holographic polish. Purples are my weakness so I absolutely love this one, and the holo is quite strong too. This is two coats, plus Seche Vite topcoat.

Amnesianamed after Amnesia Roses, is a gorgeous pinkish purple scattered holographic polish. I used one of my favorite Born Pretty Store rose water decals on my accent nail. This is two coats plus Seche Vite topcoat.

Painted Sabotage polishes are 3-free. No Dibutyl Phthalate, No Formaldehyde and No Toluene. Cruelty Free.

You can also find Painted Sabotage on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Pretty Woman: Sequin Nail Art Kit.

✯ PR Sample ✯

Pretty Women brand recently sent me this sequin glitter kit to share with you all. This is a new to me brand. They offer nail lacquers, nail strips, and nail art kits. They may also send me some nail lacquers soon to review for you all too.

When I first received the package the sequins had leaked out of the kit during shipping, boo... so they went everywhere when I opened the package. :-( The sequins stick to everything (static cling), so be careful when working with them. I think I'm going to be finding sequins in my dining room until next Christmas, lol.

I wanted to do something more subtle with this kit. So I decided on a glitter sequin gradient, instead of dipping my entire nail in. It's up to you how you decide to use the kit.

To minimize the sequins getting all over I put a napkin down over my work space. I started with two coats of OPI Can't Find My Czechbook, and one coat of Seche Vite topcoat. Then I used the Pretty Woman clear coat- but I just applied it where I wanted my gradient to be. I let it dry a few seconds until it was tacky but not wet.

I used my index finger to pick up the sequins and gently patted them onto my nails. When I was done I used the little brush to brush off the excess sequins, and I sealed everything with Seche Vite again. They were not difficult to work with, just very messy because the loose sequins stick to everything, (and breed, I swear, haha!)

You can find the nail art kits they have for sale on their website here. The kits retail for $7.99. You can also find Pretty Woman Brand on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
