Today I am sharing the gorgeous Zoya Bubbly, Summer 2014 collection with you! I decided to do accent nails with the Zoya Tickled collection. (I will have the review for that collection here on the blog in a few more days). Both of the summer collections can be purchased as a set or individually at Zoya.com. (I used Seche Vite topcoat below on all the swatches).
Zoya Binx (accent nail is Rooney), I kind of wish I had done 3 coats instead of two. This is darker than Harper and more an Orchid Purple. It's so sparkly in person, I love this color.
Zoya Muse (accent nail is Ling). Two coats, plus topcoat for this color. Lovely bright blue!

Zoya Harper (accent nail is Kitridge from the Tickled collection). This is two coats, plus topcoat. I was surprised these weren't as sheer as I thought they would be. This one reminds me of pink lemonade for some reason, I really love it.

Oh! Painted Nubbs had a fan on Facebook asking for a comparison of Zoya Muse, Charla & Crystal the other night. Ashlee only had Muse, so she asked if someone could compare. If you're curious- here is what they all look like on the nail, no dupes here!
Zoya Jesy (accent nail is Rocha) orange coral color with gold shimmer. This one was a bit sheerer than the others, so I used 3 coats. By the way, all of these polishes have glitter, but they were not hard to remove at all with some acetone.
Zoya Stassi (accent nail is Tilda) I also needed 3 coats for Stassi, I felt it was too sheer at two coats. I wish I have chosen a different design for the striping tape though- because I feel it looks like a turtle shell with the green, lol!
My genuinely talented nail art friends, please don't be offended by this- it's just a joke, lol! My friend Autumn said they could be Ninja Turtle nails since the accent nail looks like a turtle shell, so as a late night joke I searched for some pictures- and stuck them on my nails on Paintshop Pro, hehehe! (Photos were found here).
Zoya Alma (accent nail Wendy). 2 coats. Alma is a pretty marigold color. I didn't think this color looked too bad with my skintone actually. Usually yellows do not play nice with my pale skin.

I recently purchased Ellagee Life is de Bubbles! It's a pretty blue jelly with pink blue circle glitters and holographic dolphins. I love it! I used 3 coats for the photo below and a thick coat of Seche Vite topcoat to even everything out. The dolphin glitters were quite plentiful in my bottle, every time I pulled the brush up they were clinging to the brush so I didn't have any issues getting them out. Now I'm eyeing Dolphins of the Caribbean next... ;-)
I also picked up something that has changed my life when it comes to removing glitter polishes. Nail Pattern Boldness (I always want to type baldness!), Glitter-A-Peel. I first read about it on The Mercurial Magpie.
What does it do? It allows you to remove glitter polish instantly with no mess. You paint two (thickish) coats of Glitter-A-Peel and let it dry. Then paint your normal glitter bomb nail polishes over it, plus topcoat. Glitter-A-Peel will only last 2 days tops before pieces start popping off on their own. But since I change my polish often no issues there. I wore the dolphin polish above for two days straight, until I woke up with my pointer finger naked, it must of popped off when I was sleeping! To remove the rest of the polish, I used a wooden cuticle stick to loosen the polish a bit from the side and then I just peeled the rest off. It comes off in one piece. No more scrubbing you nails with acetone!
Failed Easter Mani- but you get the idea of how easy Glitter-A-Peel removes once you've loosened the edge with your finger or a wooden cuticle stick.

Rimmel London: 60 Seconds Polish Review

A few weeks ago Rimmel London US was nice enough to send me some samples to review! I received eleven colors from their 60 Seconds line. They retail for $1.99 each and can be found at drugstores and major retailers.
Note: Most of these polishes you can get away with just two coats. But under my bright lighting I always use three coats, it's just the norm for me. I also used Seche Vite fast dry topcoat for all swatches below.
Mintilicious: Love this light minty color. 3 coats, plus Seche Vite topcoat.
Which colors are your favorite?
A few weeks ago Rimmel London US was nice enough to send me some samples to review! I received eleven colors from their 60 Seconds line. They retail for $1.99 each and can be found at drugstores and major retailers.
Thoughts on formula: If you use two thin coats, the polish does dry pretty fast on it's own. The main issue I had, was the polish does not level off or even out properly, so it would look uneven when dry. Using a topcoat smoothed things out nicely though. They are highly pigmented. I was really hoping they would stamp, since the formula is thicker, but as you will see below they didn't perform very well for that task. All in all, these are a great deal for $1.99 each. There are 42 colors in the Rimmel 60 Seconds line.

I Lilac You: Pretty pastel Lavender. I used 3 coats, plus Seche Vite topcoat.
Mintilicious: Love this light minty color. 3 coats, plus Seche Vite topcoat.
Precious Metal & Man Overboard: I decided to play with striping tape for the first time! I really love how this combo turned out. It's probably my favorite of all of them. Two coats of Precious Metal, and 2 coats of Man Overboard over the striping tape. Plus Seche Vite topcoat.
Out of the Blue: I absolutely love this deep dark turquoise color. It's really rich and beautiful. I used 3 coats, plus topcoat. But... the downside is- this stains your skin very badly during cleanup & Removal. (I did not wear it long enough to say if it would stain your nail beds though.) I would still wear it again, because I don't have a turquoise quite this color.
Red, Steady, Go & Hot Chili Pepper: I decided to have some fun with these colors and went with a festive chili pepper theme. I used Winstonia Store stamp plate W211. I also used neon studs from Painted Polish. Three coats each of the polish, plus Seche Vite topcoat. (The red stains your skin during cleanup and removal).
Sunny Days & Green Eyed Monster: These bright lemon & lime colors make me think of summer. I used 3 coats for each, plus Seche Vite topcoat. I found that Sunny Days was a bit thinner in formula than Green Eyed Monster.
Here's where I attempted to see if some of the Rimmels would stamp. Even though they are quite pigmented on your nail and have a nice thick formula, they don't work well for stamping. They are not pigmented enough to stamp, so the designs turn out quite light. I used Winstonia Store W118 for the citrus fruit design.
Blue Eyed Girl & Precious Metal: Really nice bright cobalt blue, I used 3 coats, plus topcoat. I decided to see if the silver Precious Metal would stamp. But again, it doesn't quite cut it for stamping so the design is a bit faded. I used Emily De Molly stamp plate EDM03. (Blue Eyed Girl is also a stainer during cleanup & removal).
Pulsating: Bright Fuchsia with purple/blue shimmer. This formula was a bit on the thin side. I used 3 coats, plus Seche Vite topcoat and some holographic studs from Painted Polish.
